land records of the Superior Court of Baltimore City; to
provide procedure for the reservation of locations of
mapped streets for future public acquisition and to adopt
rules to regulate building structures in the beds of such
reserved streets laid out on the official plan or plans adopted
by the municipality pursuant to this Act. Provided all un-
improved land reserved under the provisions of this Act
or any amendments thereto for future public use shall be
exempt from all taxation during the period of such
reservation.

Be it further enacted, That the plan or plans shall be
made with the general purpose of guiding and accomplish-
ing a coordinated, adjusted and harmonious development of
the municipality designed to promote health, security,
safety, order and the general welfare of the people, includ-
ing among other things, adequate provisions for traffic, the
promotion of safety from fire and other dangers, adequate
provisions for light and air, the promotion of good civic
design and arrangement, wise and efficient expenditure of
public funds, and adequate provisions for public utilities
and other public requirements; and in furtherance of these
objects the municipality is authorized to adopt the official
city plan or plans referred to in Paragraph 1 of this Act.

3. Be it further enacted, That in order to carry out the
objects and purposes of this Act, the Mayor and City Coun-
cil of Baltimore by ordinance may provide penalties for the
violation of any of the provisions of any general ordinance
adopted pursuant thereto.

4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June I, 1933.

CHAPTER 585.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
90 of Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Calvert County, " sub-
title "County Treasurer, " as said section was amended
by Chapter 207 of the Acts of 1931, prescribing the com-
pensation of the County Treasurer of Calvert County.
