adjudged by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid
or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall in no manner
affect the other provisions or sections of this Act, which
shall be in full force and effect as if the said provision or
section so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional
was not originally a part hereof.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all laws or
parts of laws of the County of Harford heretofore adopted
and in conflict with the aforegoing are hereby repealed.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
shall take effect June 1st, 1933.

CHAPTER 571.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 11 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Banks
and Trust Companies, " sub-title "General Regulations, "
said new section to be known as Section 64A and to fol-
low immediately after Section 64 of said Article, making
it unlawful for any bank or trust company to make or
impose a service charge on any deposit or balance where
withdrawals are restricted.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 11 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edi-
tion), title "Banks and Trust Companies, " sub-title "Gen-
eral Regulations, " said new section to be known as Section
64A, to follow immediately after Section 64 of said Article,
and to read as follows:
64A. It shall be unlawful for any bank or trust company
to make or impose a service charge on any deposit or bal-
ance where withdrawals are restricted by law or by any
regulation made by the State Bank Commissioner. Any
person violating the provisions of this Act shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined
not less than Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00) for each and
every violation.
