for the faithful performance of the duties imposed upon
him, as the treasurer may require; the compensation to be
paid such assistant treasurer to be contracted for and paid
by the treasurer to such assistant treasurer, from the sal-
ary hereinafter provided for such treasurer.
90. The said treasurer shall receive an annual salary
of twenty-two hundred dollars, to be levied by the County
Commissioners at their annual levy each year, beginning
with the first levy after the term of office of said treasurer
shall begin; and he shall receive no other fees or compen-
sation whatsoever, from any other source for the perform-
ance of his duties as treasurer.
90A. The County Commissioners shall levy in their
annual levy made each year such a sum as will pay the pre-
miums on all bonds required of the treasurer or assistant
treasurer, under the provisions of this Article.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all public gen-
eral and public local laws inconsistent herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such incon-
sistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
