244. The said sheriff of Charles County shall receive
for the keeping of prisoners committed to his custody, and
for their victuals and, support, the sum of thirty-five
cents per head, per day, and the County Commissioners
shall in no case allow a greater compensation.
247. The sheriff of Charles County shall be allowed for
serving every writ of subpoena and for serving every sum-
mons required to be served by him in the performance of
his official duties the sum of sixty cents. He" shall receive
five dollars for each arrest by him upon warrant; provided,
however, that the Sheriff shall be entitled to receive two
dollars and fifty cents for serving and/or returning each
subsequent warrant where there is a commission by one
person of more than one concurrent offense or violation
of law arising out of one and the same accident, incident or
event.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all public gen-
eral and public local laws inconsistent herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such incon-
sistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 538.
AN ACT authorizing and empowering the County Commis-
sioners of Prince George's County, Maryland, a body
corporate, to borrow on the faith and credit of Prince
George's County such sum or sums as may be sufficient
to meet the budgetary expenses of said County for the
years 1932, 1933 and 1934; and prescribing the terms
and conditions under which, said money may be bor-
rowed; the limitations of the amount to be borrowed,
and prescribing the terms of payment, and making said
Act an Emergency Act.
WHEREAS, Financial conditions at this time are such and
may remain such as to make it necessary for the County
