1014 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 531

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 4 of Article 11 of the Annotated
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, Edition of 1924,
entitled "Banks and Trust Companies, " sub-title "Bank
Commissioner, " be, and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, so as, to read as follows:

4. No Bank Commissioner, Deputy Bank Commis-
sioner, Examiner, or Clerk employed by the Bank Com-
missioner, shall own any stock of any bank or trust com-
pany, or other corporation subject to examination and
supervision by the Bank Commissioner's Office.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported
by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each of the
two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 531.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 16 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland, (1924 Edition) title "Chan-
cery, " sub-title "Jurisdiction, " said new section to be
known as Section 116A and to follow immediately after
Section 116 of said Article, relating to the appointment
of receivers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 16 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1924 Edi-
tion), title "Chancery, " sub-title "Jurisdiction, " said new
section to be known as Section 116A, to follow immediately
after Section 116 of said Article, and to read as follows:

116A. The Circuit Courts for the Counties of the State
of Maryland and the Circuit Court of Baltimore City and
the Circuit Court No. 2 of Baltimore City shall not appoint
a receiver or receivers only because of the inability of a
