tributed, the person holding such receipt or certifi-
cate shall be thereby entitled to membership in the
corporation, and shall be allowed one vote for each

 

five dollars so constituted; the said agent to give
bond approved by the said corporators or their suc-
cessors, conditioned for the faithful accounting for
and paying into the treasury of the corporation all
monies coming into his hands.

Bond.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That the said cor-
porators and their successors may make such by-
laws for the government and management of the
corporation as they may deem proper.

By-Laws.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That the corporators
or their successors shall receive no compensation for
their services.

No compen-
sation.

Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Trustees of the Metho-
dist Episcopal Church, in Federalsburg, in Caro-
line county.

Passed Feb.
8, 1866.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Jacob Charles, Charles Willis,
of E., Joseph L. Kenney, Curtis Davis, John W.
Brown, John F. Elliot, and Willis Charles, Trus-
tees of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Feder-
alsburg, and their successors in office, are hereby
created and incorporated a body corporate and po-
litic, by the name and style of the Trustees of the
Methodist Episcopal Church, in the town of Fed-
eralsburg, in Caroline county, and by that name
shall have perpetual succession, and shall be able
and capable in law to sue and be sued, plead and
be impleaded, answer and be answered unto, in
any court of law or equity in this State or else-

Incorporated.
