AN ACT to amend the act of eighteen hundred
and sixty, chapter three hundred and three, en-
titled, an Act to carry into effect the eighth
section of the Act entitled, an Act for the pro-
motion of internal improvements, passed at the
December Session eighteen hundred and thirty-
five, chapter three hundred and ninety-five, "
by applying a part of the appropriation made
by said act, for the purpose of internal improve-
ments in Worcester county, to the construction
of the Wicomico and Pocomoke Railroad.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, By the act of eighteen hundred and
sixty, chapter three hundred and three, the sum of
ninety-nine thousand one hundred and one dollars;
was appropriated to Worcester county, for the
purpose of internal improvements in said county,
of which the sum of fifty thousand dollars was
applied to the Worcester Railroad Company, and
forty-nine thousand one hundred and one dollars
to such, other works of internal improvement in
said county as the Legislature may hereafter direct;
and whereas, the charter of the Worcester Railroad
had expired by its own limitation previous to the
date of said act; and whereas, Worcester county
has never received any part of said appropriation;
and whereas, a charter in full force now exists, to
the Wicomico and Pocomoke Railroad Company,
to construct a Railroad from Salisbury to Berlin,
in Worcester county; therefore,

plied,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That of the appropriation make to
Worcester county for the purpose of internal im-
provements in said county, by the Act of eighteen
hundred and sixty, chapter three hundred and
three, the sum of sixty thousand dollars, be and
the same is hereby applied to the Wicomico and
Pocomoke Railroad Company, subject to the same
terms and conditions, which are specified in said
act.

Repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That so much of the
act to which this act is amendatory as is inconsis-
