Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That the General
Assembly reserves to itself the right to alter, amend
or repeal this act at pleasure.

CHAPTER 128.

 

AN ACT to amend the Act entitled, an Act to in-
corporate the Dime Savings Bank in the city of
Baltimore, passed at January session eighteen
hundred and fifty-four, chapter three hundred
and twenty and its supplement, passed at Janu-
ary session eighteen hundred and fifty-six, chap-
ter two hundred and forty-five.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the first section of the said origi-
nal act and its supplement, be so far amended as
that the corporate name of the said Dime Savings
Bank of Baltimore, be changed to that of the Cen-
tral Savings Bank of Baltimore, by -which name the
said corporation shall have perpetual succession,
and be capable in law to hold and dispose of pro-
perty, to sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded,
answer and defend, and be answered and defend-
ed, in courts of law and equity, and in any other

place; to receive and make all deeds, transfers,
contracts, covenants, conveyances and grants what-
soever, to make, have and use a common seal, and
the same to change and renew at pleasure, and
generally to do every act, or thing, which the said
Dime Savings Bank of Baltimore, under said origi-
nal act and its supplement, was authorized to do,
or which are necessary to carry into effect the pro-
visions of said act and supplement, or to promote
the objects or designs of said corporation.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the first section
of the said supplement be so far amended as to au-
thorize and allow said corporation by by-law or re-
