power to issue scrip to policy holders, in order to
enable them to participate in the contingent pro-
fits of the said company.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect so soon as the same shall have been ac-
cepted by a majority in amount of the whole num-
ber of Stockholders as provided by the nineteenth
section of said original act.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That the President,
Directors and Secretary of the company, shall on
the first of each and every January, make a sworn
statement before a Justice of the Peace, of Balti-
more city, of the amount of gain, profit and losses,
if any, of said Maryland Fire Insurance Com-
pany.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That the President,
Directors and Secretary of said Maryland Fire In-
surance Company, shall publish said statement of
the condition of the company in not less than three
of the daily newspapers published in. Baltimore
city.

AN ACT to repeal section three of article ninety-
three of the Code of Public General Laws, pass-
ed March the twenty-fourth, eighteen hundred
and sixty-five, entitled, "Testamentary Laws. " to
come in after section three hundred and twenty-
eight of said article, and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section three of article ninety-
three of the Code of Public General Laws, passed
March the twenty-fourth, eighteen hundred and
