years from the date of the Act of Incorporation of
the said company, this being necessary in the
judgment of this General Assembly, to effect the
object of the said corporation, and the Act of In-
corporation of the said company is hereby altered
and amended by the addition of this Act thereto,
as if inserted therein.

A SUPPLEMENT to an Act entitled, an Act to in-
corporate the President and Directors of the Mary-
land Fire Insurance Company, of Baltimore,
Maryland, passed at the January session, eighteen
hundred and fifty-eight.

Authorized
to make per-
petual insur-
ance.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the President and Directors of
said company shall be and they are hereby autho-
rized and empowered to make perpetual insurances
against fire, insurances against all classes of inland
navigation risks, against accident resulting in
death or injury to life or limb, and generally to
make all insurances of any kind whatsoever, which
may now or can hereafter legally be made by any
person or body corporate chartered by this State or
by any other State, and effecting insurances in
this State.

Repealed.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That section twenty
of the original act be and the same is hereby re-
pealed.
|
Increase of
Capital stock.
|
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the Stockhold-
ers, or a majority of them, shall have power to
provide for the increase of the capital stock of sail
company to an amount not exceeding five hundred
thousand dollars.
