side, when present, at all meetings of the Board;
the Directors shall have power to appoint all such
officers, agents and servants as they may deem
necessary to employ, and may fix their compensa-
tion; the whole power of the said corporation shall
reside in the Board of Directors, subject to the by-
laws of said corporation.

Power to
issue bonds.
|
Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That said corporation
shall have power to issue bonds to an amount not
exceeding in the whole the sum of one hundred
thousand dollars, secured by a mortgage or deed of
trust upon the whole, or upon a specified portion of
the real estate of said company, payable at a period
not exceeding five years from the day of the date
of such bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six
per centum per annum, payable semi-annually,
with or without coupons, as may be deemed most
eligible, and divided into such amounts as the di-
rectors may deem most convenient.

Sec. 9. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

. AN ACT to incorporate a company to make a Turn-
pike Road from the Baltimore and Yorktown
Turnpike, to My Lady's Manor, in Baltimore
county.
|
Incorporated,
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a company be, and is hereby
incorporated to make a Turnpike road, which shall
begin at a point on the Baltimore and Yorktown
Turnpike road, where the present Warren Factory
toad now intersects said turnpike, and following
the bed of said road shall terminate at or near the
Episcopal Church, on My Lady's Manor.
