on behalf of this State to the capital stock of the
said company as aforesaid, the State shall be en-
titled to two Directors in the said company, who
shall be appointed by the Board of Public Works,
and shall be in addition to the Directors hereinbe-
fore provided for, and the said Directors on the
part of the State shall have the same powers, rights,
privileges and duties as belong to other Directors
of the said company.

Sec. 29. And be it enacted, That the said company
shall execute a mortgage to this State of its cor-
porate property, to be affirmed by the Treasurer of
this State and recorded in the proper county, to
secure to the said State the payment of interest of
six per centum per annum on the sum subscribed
by the State to the stock of the said company, the
said interest to begin three years after the payment
of the several instalments of the State subscription,
and to be paid out of the profits of the work semi-
annually for ever hereafter.

Sec. 30. And be it enacted, That in case the said
company shall hereafter misuse or abuse the privil-
eges hereby granted, and shall be lawfully convicted
of such misuse or abuse, the General Assembly shall
have power to revoke or amend this charter.

Sec. 31. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

to establish and endow an Agricultural College
in Maryland, " passed at January Session, eigh-
teen hundred and fifty-six, chapter ninety-seven,
and of a Supplemental Act passed at January
Session, eighteen hundred and fifty-eight, chap-
ter two hundred and sixty-five.
