dollars, shall, on the first Monday in May ensuing

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the first elec-

shall be held by two judges of election, to be
|

appointed by the Board of County Commissioners
|

of Carroll county, or the president of said board,
|
 
|
and all elections i'or officers thereafter shall be held

sioners of said town, and in such manner, at such

place and after such notice as by ordinance of the

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the judges of
|
 
|
all elections for officers held under this act, before
|
 
|
holding any election, shall each swear or affirm,
|
 
|
before a justice of the peace for said county, that ho
|
 
|
will fairly and impartially act as judge of such elec-
|
 
|
tion, and said judges of election shall keep the polls
|

open from one until four o'clock P. M.; and shall,

in the presence of such persons who may desire to

witness the same, immediately thereafter count the

ballots, announce the result, and make and sign a
