AN ACT to repeal chapter two hundred and six-
|
 
|
teen of the Acts of the General Assembly of
|
 
|
Maryland, passed at the January session, eighteen
|
 
|
hundred and seventy-eight, entitled " An Act to
|
 
|
Remove all Gates from the Main Public Roads of
|
 
|
Anne Arundel county," and to re-enact the same
|
 
|
with amendments.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
 
|
bly of Maryland, That chapter two hundred and
|
 
|
sixteen of the Acts of the General Assembly of
|
Repealed and
|
Maryland, passed at the January session, eighteen
|
re-enacted.
|
hundred and seventy-eight, entitled " An Act to

Remove all Gates from the Main Public Roads of

|
Anne Arundel county," be and the same is hereby
|
 
|
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That from and after
|
 
|
the first day of January, eighteen hundred and
|
 
|
eighty-three, it shall not be lawful for any person,
|

with or without the consent of the County Commis-
sioners, to erect, have or keep any gate upon the

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That any person who

|
shall, in any way or manner, hinder, obstruct, molest
|
 
|
or disturb any supervisor in the performance of the
|
 
|
duties required of him under the provisions of
|
 
|
this act, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
|
 
|
and be liable to presentment and indictment by the
|

grand jury of Anne Arundel county, and shall on

indictment.

conviction thereof by a court of law, be fined in a
|
 
|
sum not less than ten dollars nor more than fifty
|
 
|
dollars, and be imprisoned in the county jail for not
|
 
|
less than thirty days nor more than ninety days, or
|
 
|
both in the discretion of the court before which he
|
 
|
shall be tried and convicted, the said fine to be ap-
|
 
|
plied to the road fund of the county.

|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That any supervisor
|
 
|
who shall fail or neglect to perform his duties under
|
 
|
