Chapter 420.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners

of Queen Anne's county to appoint a Treasurer.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland. That it shall and may be lawful for

to appoint one of their number as treasurer, and

when so appointed, the said treasurer shall give bond

to the State of Maryland in the penalty of twenty

thousand dollars, conditioned for the faithful dis-

charge of the duties of said office, who shall receive

such compensation as said commissioners may deter-

mine, not exceeding two per cent, on the amount of

money distributed.

SEC.2. And be it enacted, That this act shall

AN ACT to give and declare the sanction of the

General Assembly of Maryland to the bequest

contained in the last will and testament of Lewis

K. Fouke, of Washington county, deceased, for

the benefit of the officiating minister of the Ger-

man Reformed Congregation at Salem Church,

in said Washington county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the sanction of the General

Assembly of Maryland be and that the same is

hereby given to the bequest of one thousand dollars

to Henry S. Zeller, in trust for the benefit of the

officiating minister of the gospel who may be preach-
