Chapter 405.

AN ACT to repeal chapter one hundred and fifty-

six of the acts of the General Assembly, passed

at January session, eighteen hundred and seven-

ty-eight, relating to justices of the peace in

"Washington and Talbot counties, so far as it

relates to Talbot county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That chapter one hundred and fifty-

counties, be and the same is hereby repealed so

far as it relates to Talbot county.

Chapter 406.

AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Coun-

cil of Baltimore to issue the stock of said cor-

poration to an amount not exceeding five million

of dollars for permanent public improvements,

the opening of streets and constructing sewers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of

Baltimore be and it is hereby authorized to issue

the bonds of the city of Baltimore for the amount

of five millions of dollars for permanent public

improvements, opening of streets, and the con-

struction of sewers, payable at such time, and
