Chapter 36.

 

AN ACT to authorize the Counly Commissioners

 

for Anne Arundel County to refund to Benjamin

 

Phipps, administrator of James E. Phipps, the

 

amount of taxes erroneously paid by him on the

 

property of his intestate, when satisfied of such

 

erroneous payment.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assem-

 

bly of Maryland, That the County Commissioners

 

for Anne Arundel county be and they are hereby

 

authorized to inquire and ascertain whether Ben-

 

jamin Phipps, administrator of James E. Phipps,

 

has paid taxes upon property which should have

erroneously or by mistake paid on such property,

 

then the said County Commissioners are hereby au-

 

thorized and directed to refund to said Benjanmin

effect from the date of its passage.
