Chapter 36.

AN ACT to authorize the Counly Commissioners
|

for Anne Arundel County to refund to Benjamin
|
 
|
Phipps, administrator of James E. Phipps, the
|
 
|
amount of taxes erroneously paid by him on the
|
 
|
property of his intestate, when satisfied of such
|
 
|
erroneous payment.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assem-
|
 
|
bly of Maryland, That the County Commissioners
|
 
|
for Anne Arundel county be and they are hereby
|
 
|
authorized to inquire and ascertain whether Ben-
|
 
|
jamin Phipps, administrator of James E. Phipps,
|
 
|
has paid taxes upon property which should have
|

been stricken from the assessment books of said

refund.

county, and if satisfied that such taxes have been
|
 
|
erroneously or by mistake paid on such property,
|
 
|
then the said County Commissioners are hereby au-
|
 
|
thorized and directed to refund to said Benjanmin

Phipps the amount so erroneously paid by him.
|

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
 
|
effect from the date of its passage.
|
 
|

AN ACT entitled "An Act to pay W. R. Mar-
|

shall Forty-eight Dollars duo him for Furnishing
|

Hoops for the use of Tobacco Warehouse No. 2,

from April eighth to June third, eighteen hun-
|
 
|
dred and eighty."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of tho
