Chapter 393.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County

Commissioners of Queen Anne's county to bor-

row money on the credit of the county for the

purpose of shelling the public streets in the town

of Centreville, and the public road leading to

Centreville wharf, in said county; to issue bonds

for the payment of the same, and to levy taxes on

the assessable property of the said county to re-

deem said bonds, and to pay the interest thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That the County Commissioners

of Queen Anne's county are hereby ordered, au-

of Centreville, in said county, and also the public

road leading to the Centreville wharf.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That for the purpose

of paying for the same, the said county commissioners

are hereby ordered, authorized and empowered to

borrow on the credit of said county an amount not

exceeding four thousand dollars, and to issue coupon

bonds therefor in sums of one hundred dollars each,

of county commissioners and its clerk, and sealed

with the seal of the office, bearing interest payable

semi-annually, and dated on the day of their issue,

the principal of said bonds to be payable in not less

than two nor more than ten years.
