Chapter 248.

 

AN ACT for the relief of "The Society for the

 

Relief of the Indigent Sick of the city of Balti-

 

more," extending the duration of the original act

 

of incorporation.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

 

bly of Maryland, That the term of thirty years

 

limited in the eighth section of the act of the Gen-

 

eral Assembly of Maryland, entitled "An act to

 

incorporate the Society for the relief of the Indigent

 

Sick of the city of Baltimore," passed February the

 

twenty-seventh, eighteen hundred and forty-three,

 

be and the same is hereby renewed and extended

for the term of thirty years beyond the period in

 

the said act limited, the said extension and renewal

 

to have in all respects the same effect as though the

 

term in the act to which this is a supplement had

 

been fixed at sixty and not thirty years; and that the

 

charter of said society be and the same is hereby

 

revived and continued for the said term of sixty

 

years from the time of the original granting thereof.

Chapter 249.

 

AN ACT to refund to Brookville Lodge, number

 

fifty, I. O. O. F., certain State taxes paid on ac-

 

count of erroneous assessments.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assem-

 

bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the

 

Treasury be and is hereby authorized and directed

 

to draw his warrant on the. Treasurer in favor of

Draw warrant.

Brookville Lodge, number fifty, " Independent Order

 

of Odd-Fellows," for the sum of nine dollars and

 

twenty-one cents for State taxes paid on account of

 

erroneous assessments, this claim having been recom-

 

mended by the officers of the Treasury Department.

 

SEC. 2 And be it enacted, That this act shall take
