Chapter 22.

AN ACT to provide for the Uniform Registration
|
 
|
of the Names of all the Qualified Voters in this
|
 
|
State.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
 
|
bly of Maryland, That the Governor shall nomi-
|
 
|
nate and, by and with the advice and consent of the
|

assigned to act; each of the persons so appointed

shall be a voter and resident in the legislative dis-

trict from which he was appointed, as said legisla-
|

tive district was constituted on the day hereinbe-
|
 
|
fore last named; when the wards of the city of Bal-
|
 
|
timore are newly divided, as directed by an act
|
 
|
passed at this session of the General Assembly, he

shall assign one of the officers of registration so ap-

pointed to each three of the nine election precincts

of which each ward in said city of Baltimore shall

then be composed; assigning to the three first elec-

tion precincts in each ward, as then laid out in the

regular order of their numbers, one of said officers
