House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 1, 3 and 4, of
Art. 43, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Ha-
beas Corpus," and enact the following in lieu thereof.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Mr. Stevens, from said Committee, reported said bill favor-
ably, and

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

The rules were suspended so as to give said bill a second
reading this day, by yeas and nays as follows :

the Code of Public General Laws, Art. 26, title "Corpora-
tions," to enable Municipal corporations to pay judgments
recorded against them in any of the Courts of Law in this
State.
