Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered the following bills :

House bill entitled an Act to permit the bona fide residents
of St. Mary's and of Charles counties, to shoot wild fowl in
the Wicomico river and its tributaries.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Humphreys, Lawrence and Ford.

House bill entitled an Act to protect fish in the Black
Water, in Worcester county.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Brewer, Aydelotte und Cooper.

House bill entitled an Act to regulate the shooting of
ducks and other wild fowl in West and Rhode rivers, and
their creeks, in Anne Arundel county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize Alexander Frank-
lin to erect a gate across one of the public roads in Anne
Arundel county.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Ban-
non, Lawrence and Hepbron.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel, Prince George's and Calvert
counties, to provide free travel over the Patuxeut river, at or
near Hilt's bridge, and to determine the cost between them.

Which was read a first time and referred to Messrs. Ban-
non, Gorman and Suit.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 1 and 2, of
sub-chapter 2; Section 6 of sub-chapter 3; Sections 1 and 5
of sub-chapter 4, and Section 2 of sub-chapter 10, of chapter
377, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed
at the Sanuary Session, 1872, entitled an Act to repeal an
Act, passed at the January Session, 1870; entitled an Act

to repeal an Act, passed at the January Session, 1868; enti-
tled "Public Education," providing a general system of free
public schools for the State of Maryland, and to repeal all
