Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act in relation to mendicant and
vagrant children.

Which was read the recond time.

Mr. Walsh, from Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to continue in force the Act of
1872, chapter 420, entitled an Act to revive, re-enact and
amend certain Sections of the Act of 1852, chapter 316, enti-
tled an Act, to authorize the appointment of a Commissioner
to take testimony, to provide for the recording of copies of
wills and other papers, of which the originals were lost by
the burning of the Court-House in Dorchester county, and to
remedy as far as practicable, the evils likely to ensue from
the distruction of the records of said county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Walsh, from the Committee on Finance, reported un-
favorably,

Senate bill to appropriate a sum of money to pay George
Miller Duvall, the balance of his salary as Chief Clerk to the
Comptroller.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal the 12th and 13th Sec-
tions of Article 75, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Pleading, Practice and Process," sub-title -'Plead-
ing," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the second time

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 3, of chapter
373, of the Acts of 1867, relating to Stenographer in Or-
phans' Court of Baltimore city, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
