On motion by Mr. Walsh,

The Senate went into Executive Session.

At 8.40 P. M.

The Senate resumed the consideration of Legislative busi-
ness.

The President presented the following communication from
the Executive:

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

Annapolis, April 1st, 1876.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

I have the honor of informing you that I have approved
and signed the following Act which originated in the Senate.

No. 191. An Act to authorize Sarah A. E. Brewington to
settle her account as guardian to George P. Brewington, and
deliver over the estate to the said ward.

JOHN LEE CARROLL.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Carroll county to adjust and settle the amounts due
Jeremiah Robertson, Trustee of John Smith, John Smith's
children, and George Kane, for county taxes paid in error.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Lee,
Walsh and Knight.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact several
Sections of chapter 181, of the Acts of 1874, relating to "Oys-
ters."

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

House bill entitled an Act to continue in force the Act of
1872, chapter 420, entitled an Act to revise, re-enact and
amend certain Sections of the Act of 1852, chapter 316, enti-
tled an Act to authorize the appointment of a Commissioner
to take testimony to provide for the recording of copies of wills
and other papers, of which the originals were lost by the
burning of the Court House in Dorchester county, and to
remedy as far as practicable, the evils likely to ensue from
the destruction of the records of said county.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Walsh, Ford and Gorman.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize appropriations by
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, in and for the bene-
fit of corporations duly charged with the custody of Juvenile
Delinquents.

Endorsed : "Considered and indefinitely postponed."
