On motion by Mr. Walsh, it was

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that Senator
Lee is absent from his seat in the Senate on account of sick-
ness in his family.

Mr, Lloyd presented the memorial of Jacob G. Morris and
209 other citizens of Talbot and Queen Anne's counties, pray-
ing the passage of an Act to allow the shooting of water
fowl from sink-boats in certain waters,

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Lloyd, Walsh and
Ford.

Also,

The memorial of I. N. Steele, P. F. Thomas and S. T.
Wallis, asking compensation as attorneys in the cases of the
State against the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Company, in
the Supreme Court of the United States,

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

Mr. Stevens presented the memorial of the barbers of Bal-
timore, protesting against any repeal or modification of the
Sunday law of 1874,

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore City Sena-
tors.

Also,

The memorial of A. Watts and 41 others, of Pikesville,
Md., for the repeal of the Attachment Law of 1874,

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judi-
cial Proceedings.

Also,

The memorial of J. Devilbliss and 43 others, citizens of
Uniontown, Baltimore county, Md., for the repeal of the
Attachment Law of 1874,

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judi-
cial Proceedings.

Mr. Steiner presented the memorial of G. J. Doll and 58
others, citizens of Frederick city, praying the General As-
sembly not to repeal the law exempting one-hundred dollars
of wages from attachment,

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judi-
cial Proceedings.
