The President presented the following communication from
the Executive :

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

Annapolis, March 30th. 1876.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

I have the honor of informing you that I have approved
and signed the following Acts which originated in the Sen-
ate :

No. 87. An Act to provide for the proper representation
of the State of Maryland at the celebration of the one hun-
dredth anniversary of American Independence.

No 88. An Act to repeal Section 115 of chap. 343, of the
Act of 1874, relating to the city of Westminster, in Carroll
county, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

No 89. An Act to authorize and empower the State's At-
torneys for Dorchester and Caroline counties to stet certain
cases on the dockets of the Circuit Court for said counties re-
spectively.

No. 97. An Act to repeal Sec. 8 of chap. 506, of the Acts
of 1874, entitled an Act for the taxation of dogs in the State
of Maryland, and re-enact the game with an amendment.

No. 98. An Act to pay Levin L. Waters. Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Somerset county for fees accruing in his of-
fice against the State of Maryland.

No. 99. An Act to repeal Sec. 81 of Art. H, of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Kent County," sub-title "Coun-
ty Commissioners," and to amend and re-enact the same with
amendments, and to add a Sub-Section thereto, and to pro-
vide for the appointment of two County Commissioners by
the Governor, to serve until the next general election.

No. 102. An Act, for the relief of Rachel Wilson by re-
funding State and County taxes erroneously paid.

No. 103. An Act for the protection of deer in Garrett
county.

No. 104. An Act to repeal chap. 456 of the Acts passed at
January Session, 1874. entitled an Act to provide for the bet-
ter protection of birds in Garrett county, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

No. 115. An Act granting additional powers to the Po-
tomac Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore.

No. 116. An Act supplementary to an Act passed at Jan.
Session. 1852, entitled "an Act to incorporate the Santa
Clara Mining Association of Baltimore, authorizing said As-
