On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Said bill was ordered to lie over.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the building of
a new Tobacco Warehouse, in the City of Baltimore, and to
appropriate money for said purpose.

Being upon its third reading,

Mr. Bannon submitted the following amendments :

Amend title by adding "On the site now owned by the
State."

Section 2, line 4, strike out "one or two," and insert "a."

And strike out the letter "s'' from "warehouses" wher-
ever it occurs.

Which were adopted.

Mr. Dennis submitted the following amendment :

Add to Section 3, "That the cost of said warehouse Mall
in to event exceed the sum hereby appropriated."

Mr. Bannon submitted the following amendment to the
amendment.

"And, provided, that in tiny contract for building said
warehouse the commission shall require bond and retain 10
per cent, of contract price until said building is completed.''

Which was adopted.

The question recurring upon the amendment, as amended.

It was adopted.
