Wiggins.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Stevens submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Page 4, line —, after word "circumstances," insert "and
provided, that the claimants of soldiers shall prove that
they served in the war of 1812 and '14, and if widows, that
their husbands served in said war, from this State."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Freeman submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

"Provided, That all claimants shall show, to the satisfac-
tion of the Comptroller, that their names were properly on
the pension list, and were accidentally omitted or misspelt."
Which was adopted.

On motion by Mr. Lawrence,
The vote by which said amendment was adopted,
Was reconsidered.

The question recurring again upon the adoption of the
amendment,
It was adopted.
Mr. Bannon submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Sec. 1, line 5, "Provided, that no person shall be entitled
to a pension under this Act, unless they prove by two wit-
nesses to the satisfaction of the Comptroller, that the appli-
cant served in the war of 1812 and '14, or if a widow, she
was the widow of a soldier of the war of 1812 and "14."
Which was adopted.

Mr. Brewer moved to indefinitely postpone the further con-
sideration of said bill.

Which was decided in the negative by yeas and nays as
follows:
