"The Auditor after examining all claims against the
county, shall lay them before the County Commissioners, a
majority of whom, shall approve of the same belore payment
by the Treasurer."

Same Section, strike all from the word "appeal" in line 22.

Sec. 12, strike out all after the word "refusal" in line 3.

Which were adopted.

Said bill as amended was then read the second time.

Mr. Joyce called the attention of the Senate to an error in
endorsement of an amendment offered yesterday, to House
Joint Resolntions in relation to the Baltimore and Ohio Rail-
road Company, by which said amendment was erroneously
endorsed "lost," instead of "adopted."

Said Resolutions having been sent to the House of Dele-
gates,

Mr. Stevens submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

March 30, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We respectfully ask your Honorable Body to return to the
Senate for further consideration, the House Joint Resolution,
directing the Attorney General to proceed at once to enforce
by legal process, the payment to the State, out of the net
profits of the Washington Branch Railroad, for the six
months ending September 30th, 1875.

By order,

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,
Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 30, 1876.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message asking a return of Joint
Resolution, directing the Attorney General to proceed at
once, to enforce by legal process, the payment to the State,
out of the net profits of the Washington Branch Railroad
for the six months ending September 30th, 1875, and here-
with return the same.
