Proceedings of yesterday read and approved.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and returned
the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to pay the claim of Medairy &
Bowers.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays."

Senate bill entitled an Act to pay to Philip W. Downs and
George M. Russum, a sum of money, for services rendered
the State, in the case of the United States vs. Wm. H.
Whitely.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays."

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 30, of Article
28, of the Code of Public General Laws, so far as the same
Section relates to Worcester county.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas und nays.''

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 4, of chapter
104, of the Acts of 1862, entitled an Act to incorporate a
Company for the establishment of a Public Cemetery in Kent
county, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays."

Senate bill entitled un Act to repeal chapter 163, of the
Acts of 1866, entitled "an Act to incorporate the Trustees of
the Methodist Episcopal Church in Federalsburg," and to
substitute the following in lieu thereof.

Endorsed: ''Passed by yeas and nays."

Mr. Brewer, from Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill authorizing the County Commissioners of Mont-
gomery and Prince George's counties, to appoint examiners
to report whether the convenience of the public requires the
building of a bridge over the Northwest Branch, where it is
crossed by the Sandy Spring road.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Freeman, from Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 68 to 77, in-
clusive of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore county,
Article 3, and the laws of Maryland for 1872, chapter 371,
so far as the same relates to Baltimore county, entitled
"County Commissioners," and to enact the following in lieu
thereof, with the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 5, line 13, alter the word "require" insert the fol-
lowing;
