Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 1 to 13, (both

inclusive,) of Art. 44, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Maryland Hospital," and to enact in lieu thereof the
following, to be arranged as Sections of said Art. of the Code,
Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Aydelotta, Lawrence,
Brewer, Lloyd,
Cooper, McCulloh,
Duke, Newcomer,
Dennis, Stevens,
Freeman, Steiner,
Getty, Walsh—15.
Gorman,

NEGATIVE—None.
Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegetes appeared and deliver-
ed the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to declare the Monday, imme-
diately preceding Tuesday, the Fourth day of July, 1876, a
legal holiday.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

House bill entitled an Act for the promotion of Agricul-
tural Mechanical and Household Arts, in Harford, Kent
and Howard counties.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Walsh, Hepbron and Gorman.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Montgomery and Prince George's counties, to
appoint examiners to report to their respective County Com-
missioners whether the public convenience requires the build-
ing of a bridge over the northeast branch at the point where
it is crossed by the Sandy Spring Road.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Brewer, Suit and Mudd.

House bill entitled an Act to add Sections to Article 78,
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Refuge House

of," for the purpose of providing for the Female House of
Refuge.
