Turnpike Company to that of the District of Columbia and

the Acts of 1874, entitled an Act for the protection of young
fish in the waters of Elk River and Northeast River and their
tributaries within the limits of Cecil county, and to re-enact

tees of meeting-house of the Associated Methodist Church in
Centreville, or a majority of them, to convey a certain lot of
ground in said town unto the trustees of the Methodist Pro-
testant Church at Centreville in Queen Anne's county in the
State of Maryland.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the building of a
new Tobacco Warehouse in the city of Baltimore, and to ap-
propriate money for said purpose.

Senate bill entitled an Act to establish a free bridge over
the Patapsco River, between the city of Baltimore and Anne
Arundel county, at or near the present site of Light Street
Bridge.
Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed
amendments."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Strike out all after "a bill," and insert, "entitled An Act
to establish a free bridge over the Patapsco River, at or near
the present site of Light Street Bridge, and to provide for
free travel from Anne Arundel county to Baltimore city."
"Strike out all alter the enacting clause," and in§ert the
following: "That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
and the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county be and
they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to pur-
chase the bridge over the Patapsco River, now known as "Light
Street Bridge," together with the buildings, abutments and
all other appurtenances thereto belonging or appurtaining,
and to keep and maintain the same as a free bridge at all
