On motion by Mr. Steiner,

The rules were suspended, so as to take up
House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioneis of Frederick county to fund certain
indebtedness of the Board of County School Commission rs
of Frederick county by issuing bonds therefor, and to levy a
tax for the payment of the same.

Being upon its third reading,

Mr. Steiner submitted the following amendment.

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

" Sec. 1, line 2, insert after "empowered" the words "in
their discretion."

Which was adopted.

Said bill was then read the third time and passed by yeas

The Senate bill entitled an Act to prevent stock running
at large within 15 miles of Baltimore city.
Which had heretofore been returned from the House of
Delegates, reported the same with the following amendment:

After the word "county,"" in last line of Section 3, insert
"provided, that the provisions of this Act shall not apply to
that portion of the Thirteenth District south of the Balti-
more and Ohio Railroad, nor to that portion of the Twelfth
District south of the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Balti-
more Railroad.
