650 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 22,

The following Senate bills were read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading :

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay in full for the preparation of certain maps in the
Land Office.

Senate hill entitled an Act to authorize appropriations by
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, in and for the ben-
efit of corporations duly charged with the custody of juve-
nile delinquents.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel county, to open and widen the
county road leading from Hooversville, on the Washington
Branch of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, to Odenton, on
the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad.

Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate the fishing with
seines in the waters of Bush, Gunpowder and Middle or Back
rivers, or their tributaries, in Harford and Baltimore counties.

Senate bill entitled an Act to compensate the Auditor of
the Superior Court of Baltimore city, and witnesses in the
Case of the State of Maryland against the City of Baltimore,
for adjusting and taking testimony in the same,

Being upon its second reading,

On motion by Mr. Stevens,
Was ordered to lie over.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal ch. 466 of the Acts of
1870, entitled an Act to distribute the Academic and High
School Fund of Carroll county, to the Western Maryland
College and Manchester Academy, in Carroll county, and to
enact a substitute therefor,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:
