Mr. Lawrence submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PBOPOSED.

Section 31, line S, after the word "thereon," insert, ''Pro-
vided, however, that if any person possessing the qualifica-
tions of a voter shall prove to the satisfaction of the Judges
of Election, by oath or otherwise, that he has complied with
all the requirements of this Act, and that his name has been
left off the list of qualified voters by error or omission, and
shall tender his ballot to the Judges of Election, they shall
receive it and place it the ballot-box , and provided further,
That if the Registration Officer for the district or precinct
shall be present, his judgment shall be taken , and if be de-
cides that the name of such voter has been left off the said
list by error or omission, he shall then and there enter such
name on the said list, and his ballot shall be received by the
Judges of Election and be placed in the ballot-box."

Section 31, line 2, alter the word "respective," strike out
"precincts" and insert "wards."

Mr, Newcomer submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 32, line 4, alter the word "receive," strike out the
word "eight" and insert "four."
