Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize Sarah A. E. Brew-
iagton to settle her account as guardian with George P.
Brewington, a minor.

Senate billl entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at the
January Session, 1870, entitled an Act to change the pro-
visions of Sec ion 1, Article 11, of the Constitution of this
State, title ''Baltimore city," relating to the term of office
of the Mayor of said city, as provided in and by Section 9 of
said Article.

Senate bill entitled an Act to add a new Section to Article
16 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Chancery,"
sub-title "Non Compos Mentis," to follow 87, providing for
the cases of wards who may be non compos mentis, when they
reach majority and are unable to settle with their guardians.

Severally endorsed, "reported unfavorably from the Com-
mittee on the Judiciary, and the report adopted."

The President announced the order of the day to he the

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at Jan-
uary session, 1874, entitled an'Act to repeal an Act passed at
January session, 1870, relating to the registration of voters,
and to re-enact the same with amendments, and each and all
the Sections of Article —, title "Registration," sub-title
"Voters," "Citizenship" and "Payment of Registration Of-
ficers," of the Code of Public General Laws, and to enact
the following in lieu thereof, under the Article, and title
"Registration of Voters."

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of said bill.

Mr. Stevens submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In Sec. 2, strike out the whole of Sub-Section 2.

Which was adopted.

Also, by Mr. Stevens.

Sec. 2, Sub-Section 1, line 3, after the word "county," in-
sert "and one person in each ward of the city of Baltimore."
Line 4, after the word "districts," insert "and wards."

Which were adopted.

Mr, German submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

At end of Sub-Section 6, after word "Article" insert "un-
less they shall be satisfied that said foreign born citizen or
resident has been for three consecutive years next preceding
a registered voter in this State."

Which was adopted.
