lege, and Public Documents ordered to be printed by the
Congress of the United States,

Being on their second reading,

Mr. Humphreys submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Resolution 2, line 2, strike out all after word "same" to
"Maryland," inclusive, and line 4, after word "lyceum"
insert the words "established or."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Stevens submitted the following amendment :
AMENDMENT PEOPOSED.

After the word "State," insert ''and to the Libraries of
the Boys Home, the Maryland Penitentiary, City Jail, House
of Refuge, the St. Mnry's Industrial School, House of Refor-
mation for Colored Children."

Mr. Bannon submitted the following amendment to the
amendment:

AMENDMEST PROPOSED.

Resolution 1, line 4, strike out "to the Clerk of the Su-
peri9n Court of Baltimore city and different counties," and
insert "to tlieir constituents who may desire them or who
may need them."

Which was rejected by yeas and nays as follows :
