60 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 19,

On motion by Mr. Brewer,

The vote by which the above bill was ordered to be en-
grossed,

Was reconsidered,

When Mr. Brewer submitted the following amendment:

Strike out all of Section 1, after the word "of" in the third
line, and insert "Public General Laws of Maryland, en-
titled "Appeals," be and the same are hereby repealed and
re-enacted as follows."

Which was adopted.

Said bill was then read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered the following messsages:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 18th 1876.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We respectfully propose with the concurrence of your Hon-
orable Body, to enlarge the Joint Committee, to which was
referred that part of the Governor's Message, which relates
to the Boundary Line between the State of Virginia and this
State, by the appointment of an additional member of this
House.

And we have appointed Mr. Lankford.

Chief Clerk.

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 18th, 1876.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We respectfully propose with the concurrence of your
Honorable Body, an interchange of services between the
Chaplains of the two Houses, to be arranged between them-
selves.
