Ordered, That Senator Joyce have leave of absence for a
few days to enable him to attend to his duties as Chief Mar-
shal of the procession, and celebration to be held in Balti-
more in honor of the memory of Saint Patrick.
On motion by Mr. German,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of the order of
the day, being the

House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 3, of the Acts
of 1874, entitled an Act to limit the hours of labor in this
State, for all minors under 16 years of age, and to re enact
the same with amendments.

Being upon its third reading,

Mr. Brewer submitted the following amendment.

Section 1, strike out "sixteen," and insert "fourteen."
