The Senate at 11.35 P. M. adjourned by yeas and nays as
follows:

THURSDAY, March 16th, 1876.

Senate met at 11 A. M.

Present at roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. President, Aydelotte, Bannon, Brewer, Cooper,
Duke, Dennis, Freeman, Ford, Getty, Humphreys,
Knight, Lee, Lawrence, Lloyd, McCulloh, Mudd, Wew-
coner, Phelps, Steiner, Suit, Walsh—22.

Proceedings of yesterday read and approved.

Mr. McCulloh presented the memorial of 135 citizens, vo-
ters, and 62, Iadic8 of Allegany county, praying the passage
of a Local Option Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance,

Mr. Ford presented the memorial of Solomon Tate, pray-
ing the passage of an Act authorizing the County Commis-
sioners of Queen Anne's county, to pay him a pension of thir-
ty dollars a year for two years.

Which was read and referred to Messrs Ford, Getty and
Lawrence.

Mr. Lee presented the following memorials, praying the
passage of a General Local Option Law:

1st. Of Henry B. Houck and 16 others of the 8th Election
District of Carroll county.

2nd, Of John H. Conway and 48 others of the 5th Elec-
tion District of Carroll county.
