Proceedings of yesterday read and approved.

Mr. Gorman presented the memorial of Mrs. M. Disney,
of Howard county, praying that a pension be granted her.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Freeman presented the memorial of Rachael Yingling,
widow of David Yingling, a soldier of the war of 1812,
praying that her name may be placed on the pension list.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Stevens presented the memorial of the President and
Trustees of the Maryland Inebriate Asylum.

Which was read, and referred to the Select Committee on
the Asylum.

Mr. Freeman presented the memorial of Mary Ann
Pearce, widow of Joseph Pearce, a soldier of the war of
1812, praying that a pension be granted her.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Lawrence presented the report of the Principal of
Charlotte Hall School, in St. Mary's county.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion .

Mr. Getty presented the memorial of the County Com-
missioners of Garrett county, praying the adoption of some
measure to preserve and keep in repair the National Road,
within the limits of said county.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Inter-
nal improvements.
