Sec. 27, line 21, strike out the words "fifteen, sixteen,
seventeen, eighteen."

Sec. 27, line 22, after the word "out," insert "and in the
fifteenth, sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth wards of
Baltimore city as now laid out."

Sec. 27, line 29, after "the," insert '-thirty."

Which were adopted.

Also, by Mr. Gorman,

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Sec. 2. line 12, after word "country," strike out to word
"all," in 13th line.

Sec. 2. line 4, amend by inserting "and furniture," after

etition of a similar amendment heretofore rejected.

Mr. Bannon appealed from the decision of the Chair.

The question being,

"Shall the decision of the chair stand as the judgment of.
the Senate?"

Mr. Gorman moved to adjourn,

Which was decided in the negative.

The question recurring,

"Shall the decision of the Chair stand as the judgment of
the Senate?"

It was decided in the affirmative by yeas and nays as fol-
