Mr. Lloyd presented the memorial of J. T. Bateman, A.
A. Pascault and 106 others, citizens of Talbot county, pray-
ing the passage of an Act requiring a poll-tax to be levied on
voters.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Also, by Mr. Lloyd,

The memorial of Hugh Duffers and 21 others, citizens of
Caroline and Talbot counties, praying the passage of a Joint

Resolution or law empowering others than Attorneys at Law
to act as Trustees of real estate.

Also,

A similar memorial of James Dixon and 54 others, citizens

of Talbot county.

Which were read and referred to the Committee on Judi-
. cial Proceedings.

Mr. Lee presented the memorial of R. D. Johnson, Charles
J. Jump, Frank M. Willis and 35 others, citizens of the 2d
Judicial District, praying protection from the decision of the
Judges refusing to allow commissions to any but Attorneys
for selling real estate.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judi-

cial Proceedings.

Also by Mr. Lee,

The memorial of A. H. Huber, Wm. A. McKellip and
others, praying the passage of au Act authorizing the expen-
diture of $12,000 for the improvement and repair of the Court
House at Westminister, and fer the better protection of the
record thereof.

Also,

A similar memorial of John K. Longwell and others.

Which were read and referred to Messrs. Lee, Walsh and
Brewer.

Mr. Hepbron presented the memorial of George Vickers
and others, citizens of Chestertown, praying the passage of
an Act amending the charter of said town, so as to secure an
improvement of the streets and police efficiency.
