AMENDMENT PEOPOSED.

"And no two persons shall be appointed who are residents
of the s ame ward in any of the districts of Baltimore city,
either as assessors, or on the different Boards of Control and
Review."

Pending the consideration of the amendment,
Mr. Walsh (by unanimous consent) submitted the following
Ordered, That on and after Tuesday, March 14th, the
'Senate will hold evening sessions for the consideration of
local business, meeting at 8 o'clock, P. M., until otherwise
ordered.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Walsh, from the Committee on Finance, (by unani-
mous consent) reported back to the Senate,

The memorial of John Murphy & Co., praying the pur-
chase by the State of 500 copies of "Hinkley's Testamentary
