"Mr. Joyce submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 13, after the word "State," insert "over
and above their liabilities."

Which was rejected.

Mr. Lloyd submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Line 6, after the words "grave yards," insert the words
"cemeteries paying no dividend and."

Mr. Brewer submitted the following amendment to the
amendment:

Sec. 2, line 4, strike out all after the words "State," down
to the word "congregation," line 8.

Mr. Brewer withdrew said amendment,

Which was renewed by Mr, Stevens.

The amendment to the amendment was then rejected by
yeas and nays as follows:
