SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That no Justice of the Peace
issuing such process, and no constable serving such process,
shall have any claim for fees or costs against the county for
issuing and serving the same.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That in all cases of peace war-
rants, the Justice of the Peace issuing the same, shall in-
vestigate and try the same upon such testimony as he may
have before him, and if in his judgment the charges upon
which such warrant has been issued be not sustained and
sufficient to hold the party charged to bail as now required
by law, he shall dismiss the case.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Said bill as amended was then read the second time.

Mr. Ford, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act to incorporate
the town of Church Hill, Queen Acne's county, State of
Maryland, Art. 17, and Sections 65, 66 and 67, of the Code
of Public Local Laws for Queen Anne's county, and to re-
enact the same.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Newcomer, from a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably,

House bill entitled an Act to add additional Sections to
Article 21, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington
county, in regard to horses and carriages kept at livery in
said county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Ford, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to provide for a general index
of certain Records in the office of the Register of Wills for
Queen Anne's county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Knight, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act regulating and making lawful
the setting of Pound Nets in the waters of the Elk, Sassafras
and Bohemia rivers, and their tributaries in Cecil county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Lawrence, from a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably,

House bill entitled an Act to divide the 4th Election Dis-
trict of St. Mary's county, and to create an additional Elec-
tion District in said county, to be styled the "7th Election
District."

Which was read the second time.
