NEGATIVE.—None.
Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

At 2 P. M., the Senate adjourned until to-morrow (Friday)
at 12 M.

FRIDAY, January 14th, 1876.
Senate met at 12 M.
Prayer by Rev. Mr. Canter.
Present at roll-call the following Senators:

Mr. President, Aydelotte, Bannon, Brewer, Cooper, Duke,
Dennis, Freeman, Ford, Getty, Gorman, Hepbron, Hum-
phreys, Joyce, Knight, Lee, Lawrence, Lloyd, McCulloh,
Mudd, Newcomer, Phelps, Stevens, Steiner, Suit, Walsh—26.

Proceedings of yesterday's session read and approved.
Mr. Stevens submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

January 14th, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We respectfully propose, with the concurrence of your
Honorable Body, to proceed to the election of State Treasu-
rer at one o'clock to-day.

By order,

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,
'Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

Mr. Dennis presented the memorial of J. H. Goodsell,
praying the return of a sum of money erroneously paid into
the Treasury.

Which was read, and referred to Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.
