On motion by Mr. Bannon,

Further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.
Said bill being again before the Senate,

On motion by Mr. Bannon,

Was ordered to lie over and be made the onier of the day
for Tuesday, March 7th, at 1 o'clock.

On motion by Mr. Cooper, (by unanimous consent,) it
was

Ordered, That when the Senate adjourn to-day it stand ad-
journed until Monday next, at 12 o'clock.

Honorable R. C. Hollyday, Secretary of State, appeared
and delivered the following communication from the Execu-
tive:

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

Annapolis, March 3rd, 1876.
Gentlemen cf the Senate of Maryland :

I have the honor of informing you that I have approved
and signed Senate bill No. 26, "An Act to provide for the
payment to Isaac D. Jones of the balance of his claim made
to the General Assembly of 1874, for expenses and compen-
sation as one of the Commissioners to adjust the Boundary
Line between the States of Virginia and Maryland."

No. 31. An Act to amend the Act approved March 30th,
1868, entitled "an Act to incorporate the Gary Manufactu-
ring Company of Maryland."

JOHN LEE CARROLL.
Which was read.

On motion by Mr. Phelps,

Leave of absence was granted him until Monday next,
March 6th.

OFFICE SECRETARY OF THE SENATE,

Annapolis, March 3rd, 1876.

The following Senate bills, having passed both branches of
the General Assembly of Maryland, were this day presented
to His Excellency, the Governor, for his approval.

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,
Secretary.

No. 34. An Act to require the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Frederick county to transcribe two equity dockets of the
Circuit Court for said county.

No. 40, An Act to regulate the speed of vehicles and
equestrians on the approaches to Druid Hill Park from North
Avenue.
