This Act to take effect from its passage; the old bridge to
be removed and the new free bridge, at or near the points
designated, to be constructed within the year 1877.

Mr. Stevens submitted the following amendment to the
amendment:

Insert as anew Section at the end of the Section nest to the
last: "And be it enacted, provided, however, that the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore shall, by Ordinance duly ap-
prove of all the provisions of this bill before any obligation
shall be incurred upon the part of said city, as provided
herein."

Which was adopted.

The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ment as amended,

It was adopted.

Said bill as amended was then read the second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading

On motion by Mr. Bannon, (by unanimous consent,)
Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance, to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to repeal the 4th Section of Ar-
ticle 81, of the Code of Public General Laws of this State, as
enacted by the Act of 1874, ch. 483, and to enact a new Sec-
tion in lieu of the said 4th Section so repealed.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 1 of ch. 206,
of the Acts of 1868, entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Queen Anne's county to levy a sum of
money, or issue bonds for repairing and altering the Court
House in said county, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:
