said Board of Police Commissioners for the years 1874 and
1875. It is respectfully requested that you submit it in due
order for'the action of your Honorable Body.

Which was read and referred to Baltimore City Senators.

The President presented the Annual Report of the Balti-
more Female College.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Gorman presented the memorial of Hazel Hobbs, pray-
ing that a pension be granted him.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

On motion by Mr. Gorman, it was

Ordered, That the Committee on Claims be directed to pay
upon the certificate of the Chairman of the Committee on
Elections, such sum or sums for the attendance of witnesses
and others, as may be required in the contested election cases
now pending before the Senate.

On motion by Mr. Phelps,

The orders submitted by him on the 6th day of January,
in relation to the taxation of property, were made the special
order for Tuesday next, January 18th, at 1 o'clock, P. M.

On motion by Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance, to intro-
duce a bill for the promotion of agricultural, mechanical and
household arts in Harford and Kent counties.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 2,
of an Act entitled an Act to limit the hours of labor in this
State for all minors under sixteen years of age, passed at
January session, 1874, Chapter 3, and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

On motion by Mr, Duke,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill to repeal Section 20 of the Public
General Laws, relating to Attorneys, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.
